Smart cities are a common development trend of cities around the world. Vietnam is one of the pioneering countries in that trend. The Government identifies smart, sustainable urban development as a breakthrough direction to enhance Vietnam’s position.
The organization of the Asia Smart City Forum and Exhibition – Smart City Asia aims to promote public-private cooperation in implementing smart city projects, thereby effectively utilizing and exploiting resources. society to solve modern urban challenges through digital technology platforms.

Delegates viewed technology solutions to support smart city development

The event attracted 800 booths of more than 500 businesses from leading countries in the field of smart technology, such as the United States, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Germany,… with many main topics such as : Technology and application solutions in smart cities (smart housing, CCTV, AIoT, semiconductor technology, finance – smart payment, smart buildings, smart lighting, green energy. …).

Accompanying the program is the active participation of typical domestic technology enterprises such as: Viettel, VNPT, Mobifone, FPT… Besides, there is also the active participation of booth clusters from Korea, India, Finland, China, Russia,…

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long said that the Smart City Asia 2024 program is a prestigious event in the region on urban development and smart cities. This is a great opportunity for state and local management agencies, experts and the business community to exchange and discuss issues and solutions to sustainable, smart urban development. The program also opens up opportunities for cooperation between domestic localities in Vietnam and domestic and international businesses in urban development and smart cities.

In parallel with Smart City Asia 2024, the international exhibition of LED/OLED lighting technology and equipment – digital billboard Ledtec Asia 2024, also takes place at the same location and time.

Ledtec Asia 2024 has the participation of more than 400 booths from leading businesses in the field of LED/OLED lighting technology and equipment.

The above exhibition series will take place for 3 days, until April 19.

Smart City Asia 2024 Forum and Exhibition April 17, 2024. Dr. Nguyen Quan – Chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA) shared: “Smart urban development is building a modern and effective method of urban development and operation based on the application of smart technologies. Innovative and creative technology. Along with that is implementing digital transformation within the scope and scale of the urban area but focusing on solving major urban problems from traffic, environment, energy, waste treatment, and ensuring safety, urban security, and order. From many approaches, based on available infrastructure as well as the characteristics of each urban area in Vietnam, experts believe that there is a need for a roadmap for amortization and sustainable urban development, high resilience, combining management and administration with building data infrastructure for effective connection and exploitation.
