Leaders and delegates perform the opening ceremony of the Asia Smart Cities Forum and Exhibition 2024.

Within the framework of the opening ceremony, the delegation visited the booths and the Smart City Exhibition Space in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the first day of opening, the Forum and exhibition attracted many people and tourists to visit and learn.

The Asia Smart Cities International Forum and Exhibition officially opened today, April 17, at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center – SECC District 7.

The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications, and Exporum Vietnam Company coordinated with the Vietnam Automation Association, Vietnam Digital Communications Association, Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association, and the Institute of Creativity and Digital Transformation.

Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee spoke at the forum.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, said that the Forum and exhibition are an opportunity for leading domestic and international managers and experts to meet and exchange, sharing orientations, strategies, solutions and practical management tools in the Smart City development.

The event takes place for 3 days (April 17 to 19) at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center – SECC, District 7.

Smart City Asia 2024 International Exhibition – Smart City Asia 2024 brings together 800 booths and more than 500 businesses from many countries with many main topics such as technologies and application solutions in Smart Cities clear as:

Smart homes, CCTV, AIoT, semiconductor technology, finance – smart payment, smart buildings, smart lighting, Green Energy, green technology in smart manufacturing, Robots…

Digital technology and green technology forum in smart city development.

Within the framework of the exhibition, there will also be seminars and forums with the topics: Smart Urban Strategy with green and sustainable development orientation; Technology solutions for smart life; Application of AIoT in Smart Cities towards green development.

In parallel, there are trade promotion activities and business matching activities in online and face-to-face forms. In addition, the international exhibition of LED/OLED lighting technology and equipment & LEDTEC ASIA 2024 digital advertising board will also take place here.

Sharing at the Forum, Mr. Phan Ngoc Anh, Director of Alena Energy said that by attending this exhibition, we want to introduce clean energy credit solutions, providing solutions for using clean energy, saving energy to create green value and promote sustainable development.

At the same time, providing technology solutions for smart city areas in Ho Chi Minh City, energy-saving technologies and implementing measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as well as use water effectively and practically. Take measures to protect water resources.

On the same morning, at the Exhibition, the Vietnam Smart City Strategy Forum with green development orientation took place.

With the participation of experts and speakers, it attracted the attention of many visitors and participating partners.

The Forum contributes to providing solutions to build and develop Smart Cities for Ho Chi Minh City and other areas across the country, the Deputy Minister of Information and Communications expects.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long recognizes that smart urban development is an inevitable trend and has determined policies and guidelines from the highest level. What we need to do is implement it practically and effectively in the long term to achieve the goal of sustainable development.

The exhibition is also a great opportunity for state management agencies, experts and the business community to exchange and discuss issues and solutions in sustainable smart city development, the Deputy Minister affirmed.
